CHTWAN NATIONAL PARK

Chit wan national park, the oldest national park of Nepal, was delineated in 2030BS as a heritage site. situated about in 120km south-west of capital city of Nepal, this national park occupies an area of 932 sq km of forest, marshes and rivers of the Terai. This national park protects and preserve several rare and endangered wildlife like the one-horned rhinoceros, several species of deer, sloth bear,  leopard, wild bear, elephant freshwater dolphin, crocodile, more than 350 species of birds and the elusive Royal Bengal tiger. this national was an area of 'big game; in the past and now it is potent ground for researchers, observers and nature lovers.
